D Company returned home to a heroes welcome on Saturday, June 23, 2007, at welcome home ceremonies at Fort Dix, NJ.
D Company had an important security mission in Iraq at Camp Anaconda. Like the 5-117th Cavalry, their unit was extended for four months so AaSP did its part to improve these brave soldiers' days. They were attached to the 1-167 RSTA (Reconnaissance Surveillance Target Acquisition) and AaSP is very proud to have supported a "home state" unit, especially one with such a very important mission.
