AaSP NOTE: Our Medical Corps does an incredible job taking care of our troops. The 28th CSH is stationed at the Ibn Sina Hospital in Baghdad. They replaced the 10th CSH, which deployed home in October 2006. The medical and support staff in the 28th continue the excellent tradition of all our Combat Support Hospital units. We marvel at their professionalism and dedication in the face of the extreme pressure of a 24-hour combat hospital.

Surgical procedure in the OR.
Darth Vader is actually SSG Victor Settles, 28th CSH OR technician and a self-made ambassador to the local Iraqi children impacted by war. Here he cheers up a small boy in the hospital. The costume, donated by friends of SSG Settles (members of AaSP included), scared the boy at first but the Ragu soccer ball brought a smile to the child's face.
