MSRON 1 (Maritime Expeditionary Security Squadron)
Our adoptee:
LCDR Thomas M.
MSRON1 is in the Arabian Gulf, protecting American ships. Their mission is critical to the defense of our country and well-being of our military and commercial shipping in the area. Previous to supporting this brave unit of sailors, AaSP supported MSRON4 and also the IBU-22, which redeployed back to Groton, CT, in the Spring of 2008.
Adopt-a-Soldier Platoon is proud to support MSRON1 and LCDR M.'s unit.

Special Visit by AaSP to our unit in Kuwait! One of our supporters, Joe R., works in military sales for Unilever's Foodsolutions business. On a June 2009 trip to the Middle East, Joe took personal time to visit our adopted unit and spend some time with them (lucky dog!). See below for some pictures from the trip... Thanks to LCDR M. and all the unit for their graciousness and accommodations to show our good friend Joe around. Joe was presented with keepsakes from the journey including a Challenge coin, certificate and neat hat! Thanks guys for making Joe feel like family!
