There are few things more rewarding than improving the morale of our Troops, especially those on the front lines of the war on terror. We are honored to have supported a handful of 10th Mountain Division units in Afghanistan during OEF 11-12, including two battalions - the 1/32 and the 2/87. Now, Adopt-a-Soldier Platoon and its Special Friends, Partners and Benefactors have the opportunity to Welcome them home and Thank them for their service!
The X Bowl will be a base-wide Madden 12 Football Xbox 360 video tournament. Prelims will be held in the early part of the week - June 25-26. They will lead to the semi-finals and final game on June 27. Microsoft Xbox is donating Xbox consoles and accessories and EA Sports is donating copies of Madden Football.
The Washington Redskins Cheerleaders will be there cheering for the combatants in the final game. They will also put on a variety show for Division Soldiers and doing meet and greets, taking pictures with the Soldiers and autographing picture cards during their stay and giving out a few WRC calendars. It's going to be spectacular!
Our friends at TRX Fitness will be setting up a demo A frame and a trainer will be on hand to demonstrate exercises to Soldiers in the gym during the combative event.
