Operation Respite has a mission -- to support our Marines! We have been supporting Regimental Combat Team in Helmand Province, Afghanistan. We added the 2/9, 1/8 and 3/5 Marines in AFG as well.
Our Marines are fighting hard to rid the region of the Taliban and establish "normal" living conditions for the people of Afghanistan. That means security for all and a place where the Afghan people can live in peace, children can go to school without fear and their world can return to "normal."
50 TRXs were ordered after we received permission from RCT-2 to ship TRX Force Kits to them for distribution! We would like to publicly acknowledge the help of TRX for pricing, added bonuses and free shipping to the Marines. We ordered another 15 for the 2/9 Marines! Over 100 TRX kits have been shipped to date.
On December 16, 2010, Fair Lawn (NJ) Mayor Joe Tedeschi and American Legion Commander Albee Palmieri held a pasta dinner at the American Legion post in Fair Lawn for AaSP and the 8th Marines. Mayor Tedeschi had been in the 1/8 Marines and wanted to help out with our Operation. We raised over $2,200 for our Marines and TRXs were purchased and shipped to RCT-8 in AFG.
