Operation Screaming Eagles OEF 10/11

Supporting the 101st Airborne throughout Afghanistan

Last Page Update: 18 February 2011

NOTE 15 JANUARY:  Some of the Screaming Eagles have begun coming home to Fort Campbell, KY. If you live nearby and would like to Welcome them home or can help with the Welcome Home activities in any way (donate cash, buy goodies or help with the Welcome Home parties), we can put you in touch with the folks there. Please let us know.

A newly announced initiative includes a new school for Afghan girls at Bagram AF. We are asking our Special Friends and Supporters to donate school supplies including traditional items like pens, pencils, composition books, backpacks, markers, rulers (metric please) and ... computers (laptops or desktops in excellent condition only please), flat screens, keyboards, mice (new please), web cams, and software. The new school will have 40 Afghan girls to start and they will attend school for 3 hours a day. 1LT Martha G. will head up the effort and we want to help her. Already we have two corporations that are helping. Please let us know if you can help!

In October 2010, Adopt-a-Soldier Platoon President Alan Krutchkoff was privileged to go to Afghanistan with the Washington Redskins Cheerleaders for X Bowl Afghanistan 2010. We were hosted by the 101st Airborne Div (AASLT) throughout our trip and we met incredible warriors along the way. We are now picking up the 101st for Operation Screaming Eagles in order to support these brave men and women on the front lines of freedom! Their stories will be posted here for this Operation. We're already shipping them scores of cartons of personal care products, healthy snacks, treats, chewing tobacco for our war fighters and some TRX Force Kits for exercising down range.

Supporting this Operation so far: Microsoft Xbox 360; Unilever's AXE brand; Washington Redskins Cheerleaders; LT Dennis W. Zilinski II Foundation; Planet Tool and Engineering (MO); Hillcrest (NJ) School; NJ Elks Army of Hope;  OurTroopsOnline.com; Blue Star Mothers #3 of North Jersey; Piedmont (GA) Patriots; Batavia Cares; Altantic County (NJ) Alternative H.S.; Margaret, Pat and the Maine bakers; NJ Turnpike Authority; Kessler Rehabilitation Center (NJ), a Select Medical Company; EA and its Medal of Honor game; Pascack Valley (NJ) Food Bank; Northvale/Norwood Women's Club; Operation Jersey Cares; Holders Pest Control of Houston, Tx; Cub Scout Pack 182 of Manasquan, NJ and Kristen McP.; Cathy and Fred S; Southland Trade; Needlecraft School of Midland Park, NJ; Wanaque (NJ) Police Department; the Wounded Artist Project and the list is growing.

We can use more help for Operation Screaming Eagles! If you want to help LET US KNOW!
