Adopt-a-Soldier Platoon asked FUJIFILM U.S.A. if it could help us provide blank mini DVDs to all the troops on Camp Anaconda in Iraq so they could make a video and send it home for the holidays. There are about 25,000 troops on Anaconda so this was a tall order. It didn't take Fujifilm long to jump on board!
AaSP was interested in buying the mini DVDs at a deep discount but Fujifilm took it a step further. The Recording Media Division of FUJIFILM U.S.A. decided to donate all 25,000 DVDs to help the troops! It was, needless to say, a very exciting moment for Adopt-a-Soldier Platoon.
AaSP is eternally grateful to FUJIFILM U.S.A. for its generosity and civic spirit and for taking the bull by the horns when no other manufacturer would. We need commercial enterprises to help enable our projects.
This is the spirit of America - people and companies - coming together to make these exciting kinds of projects possible. Thank you FUJIFILM U.S.A. for joining us!
