Operation Laptops (7-29-07 Update)
The 28th Combat Support Hospital needed laptops for their training rooms. Current PCs are old and slow. Soldiers need the laptops to do their homework and take training at the hospital. Thanks to the generous folks at the Unilever Ambassadors Club (retirees and 25 year veterans), AaSP shipped four laptops to accommodate the 28th's need. The laptops arrived safely (two have already been set up by the techs and two are in process). These laptops will become part of the Ibn Sina Hospital assets for future units to enjoy. They were purchased from P.C. Richard in Paramus, NJ (thanks Charlie, Mike and Gary).
Two used laptops were dropped off by one of AaSP's contributors and were sent to the 31st CSH in Baghdad. These arrived on 7-28-07 and are already at work. Many of the nurses there take college courses and the laptops will be very handy as computers are not always readily available for the staff. Our contact with the 31st is very grateful for this donation.
If there are any companies that would like to contribute to this effort, please let us know. Our troops can use more laptops, that's for sure.
