Operation Walking Home Getting the staff healthy at the 86th CSH
The 86th CSH is more than half-way done with their deployment and they have an internal project to get everyone healthy. They're calling it 'Walking Home.' Adopt-a-Soldier Platoon wants to help. Here's how it will work...
All the 86th CSH staff at Ibn Sina Hospital that participate will log how much exercise they do each week, how many miles they walk and turn in a log. Each week a CSH soldier is awarded a certificate validating he/she walked the most miles. Prizes will be awarded as well. That's where we can come in.
Adopt-a-Soldier Platoon wants to send items that are health- or exercise-related to use as prizes each week and then each month the section of the CSH with the most miles total will earn a certificate and team prizes (this is where we need multiples of each item to award. The items could be: water bottles, pedometers, goggles, swim caps, exercise bands, portable equipment, iTunes cards, iPod shuffles, heart rate monitors, jump ropes, thirst quencher gum, balance boards to work the core, Lipo 6 supplements, new health and exercise magazines, etc. -- anything to do with living a healthier life style and losing weight.
We need 33 bigger items to be given out to the weekly and monthly winners and one large item for the overall winner. Then 5 large quantity (40) items to give out to the sections that win each month. (There are 8 sections.) So, if any of our supporters, Special Friends or corporate sponsors would like to participate and either donate prizes or cash donations, please let us know!
