Valentines for Our soldiers From the Paul L. Dunbar Elementary School in Atlanta, GA
Even the smallest individual can make a difference. The children of the Paul L. Dunbar Elementary School in Atlanta, GA, in a school-wide project made Valentines Cards for the Adopt-a-Soldier Platoon to send to our troops. Special thanks should be given to Ms.Tena Mitchell, a teacher at the school and Mrs. Lovella Adams, of the Coca Cola Company for coordinating the effort. Mrs. Adams, a Senior Quality Specialist with Coca Cola is involved in partnering with the grade K-5 school.
The cards are precious and they will be sent to the soldiers at Camp Anaconda in Iraq. We are grateful to the administration of the school, the parents and children of the school and to the fine folks at Coca Cola for participating in this initiative. And thanks Traci!
Some sentiments from Ms. Carter's 2nd Grade class: "I want to thank you for fighting for us and for keeping us safe." "Roses are red, violets are blue, Happy Valentine's Day, We Love You!" "Thank you for protecting our country. Happy Valentine's Day. You are a good soldier." "Thank you for taking care of us. You are the best!" "Thanks you for protecting our country. Happy Valentine's Day. You are handsome. I love you very, very, much. You are very, very sweet."
