When Khadijah L. of Livingston Services Corporation contacted us, we had no idea she would represent a company and its COO who wanted to do so much for our troops. We gave them the 131st Transportation Company, which had just deployed to Afghanistan.
Well, on Saturday night, 22 January, they held their banquet and fund raiser and raised an astonishing $4,340! But what makes this event even more special is the fact that Livingston's COO, John M, contributed 575,000 Amex points so the team could buy fabulous gifts that the team could raffle off to the employees -- an iPod, iPad, Apple MacBook Air, Xbox 360 Kinect and a 40” Sharp LCD flatscreen TV.!
On Monday, March 14, Khadijah (along with Tony and Doug) delivered 14 cartons to Adopt-a-Soldier Platoon. We can't wait until the 131st Transportation Company gets all these goodies. All the boxes were beautifully packed, sealed, labeled with all customs forms filled out. Great job by the team!
