Meritage Properties joined Adopt-a-Soldier Platoon in the Summer of 2008. Meritage, founded in 2003, is an operator and investor in mid-sized East Coast properties. They operate mainly in the Boston to Washington, D.C. corridor.
Meritage decided to have an August event in many of their buildings. One such building is One Financial Plaza in Providence, RI, where employees, tenants and visitors donated products and placed them in bins in the building. Ten cartons were collected. Items were shipped to the 86th CSH, 115th CSH and Balad AF Theater Hospital in Iraq and Craig Joint Theater Hosp. in Afghanistan. Thanks to Ryan P. and Laurie D. in Providence and the Meritage organization. Meritage is also running an event at their locations in Landover, MD, and hope to have an update for us soon.
