This is the second year that Yarmouth High School has participated with Adopt-a-Soldier Platoon. Last year, high school students supported the CT ARNG's 1109th AVCRAD. This year, the students collected for the 209th Aviation Support Battalion at Camp Speicher.
Under the guidance of David P, a teacher at the school, the program to support the troops has expanded. Over 130 cartons for the 209th ASB and two sons of a Maine ARNG officer were shipped. 20 Veterans from the Maine ARNG were honored at Yarmouth HS on 12/16 and $1,557 was raised for postage by the students! An outstanding success!!!
